This parachute jacket is a Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren design that was sold at Seditionaries, the store they opened together on Kings Road in London where punk as a style gained popularity in the 1970s. The bondage adjustable straps were a trademark at the store, and shows the irreverence and audacity of the movement. Wearing it in the archival picture is Lil Debbie, famous member of the Bromley Contingent, who were the first punk groupies. This sheer nude gown with floral embroidery from the Marchesa Spring 2016 RTW collection is beautiful. The theme of the show was "caged bird," reflected in the bright feathers and floral patterns. With extra fabric detailing on the sleeves and back, the dress shown has the innocent and regal charm expected of a Marchesa dress, which has worked great for celebrities like Kerry Washington and Katy Perry on the red carpet.
