Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri of Valentino might be my favorite designers right now. I think what I find so appealing is how they’ve created an aesthetic all their own and run forward with it season after season. Their 80+ piece shows reimagine the same silhouettes fans now eagerly await without ever feeling redundant. Everything is always light, elegant and clean, and this double-layered silk organza dress embroidered with black and white flowers is true to that vision. It was the first look from the Spring 2011 Ready-to-Wear collection, and was paired with the very popular studded shoes and handbags that give the look a rough edge. You could wear this alone as an easy cocktail dress, or even pair it with a cropped leather moto-jacket for the femme fatale vibe the brand has taken. - Frank
